Version numbers are taken from third-party aggregators; verify against the MSRC advisory. KB numbers: unknown.

Workaround

Unknown.

Exploitation

  • No evidence of exploitation in the wild found.
  • Not listed in CISA KEV; CISA SSVC rates exploitation as none and automatable as no.
  • Microsoft rates exploit code maturity as Unproven.
  • No public proof-of-concept found; EPSS below 1%.

Our recommendation

  • Install the cumulative update for the affected Windows release, starting with servers (Windows Server 2025) and then workstations.
  • Verify the fixed build numbers in the MSRC advisory.
  • Limit local logon and restrict low-privilege accounts on file servers and shared workstations where Storage Spaces is used.
  • Monitor for unexpected privilege escalation on endpoints.
