Privacy policy
This privacy policy informs you which personal data we process in connection with this website, our services and our programs. We comply with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and – where applicable – with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Controller
IT Services Schneeberger, Alain Schneeberger, Kaffeestrasse 6a, 8180 Bülach, Switzerland – Email (JavaScript required), Phone (JavaScript required).
Visiting the website
When the website is accessed, the web server stores technically necessary information in log files: IP address, date and time, page accessed, amount of data transferred, browser and operating system, and the previously visited page. This information serves secure operation, troubleshooting and defence against attacks. It is not combined with other data and is deleted after 30 days at the latest, unless it is needed to investigate a security incident.
The website is provided on a server operated by IT Services Schneeberger in Switzerland.
Visitor statistics without cookies (Umami)
For anonymous visitor statistics we use Umami, which we operate ourselves on our server (stats.audhive.io) – no data is transmitted to third parties. Umami does not set cookies and does not create user profiles. It records the page accessed, the previously visited page, browser, operating system, device type, screen size, language and the country derived from the IP address; the IP address itself is not stored, and visits are only counted using a non-reversible hash value that changes daily. The same applies to the download portal (updates.it-sb.ch) and the licence administration (license.it-sb.ch).
Beyond this, this website does not set any cookies and does not load any content from third parties (no external fonts, maps or videos).
Contact form, email and telephone
If you contact us via the contact form, by email or by telephone, we process your details (name, company, email address, telephone number, message) solely to answer your enquiry and for any follow-up questions. The message from the form is sent to us by email and is not stored on the website.
Downloads and updates of the programs
When the program is downloaded and when it automatically checks for new versions (update server updates.it-sb.ch), the log data mentioned above is generated. The program does not transmit any further data in this process.
Error reports from the programs
If a program error occurs in one of our programs (System Health Checker, Cleaner, Intune Manager, TextTyper), it sends an anonymous error report to our licence server (license.it-sb.ch): program and version, operating system, error type, error message and the program location (call stack). Before sending, the program removes user, computer, domain and server names, paths, email and IP addresses, keys and identifiers; the server cleans the information once more. No device identifier is transmitted and no IP address is stored (only a non-reversible hash value to prevent abuse, for at most 7 days). Content such as scan data, credentials, packages and scripts of the Intune Manager or text stored in the TextTyper is never transmitted.
The reports serve solely to find and fix errors (legitimate interest in working software). For each error we keep the last 30 occurrences. You can switch off sending at any time: in the System Health Checker and the Cleaner under “Info & Update”, in the Intune Manager and the TextTyper under Settings.
Licence activation and trial version
When a licence is activated, when the trial version is started, when a licence is checked and when a device is released, the program (System Health Checker, Cleaner, Intune Manager) transmits the following to our licence server (license.it-sb.ch): the licence key, an anonymous device identifier (a hash value calculated from the Windows device ID – the device ID itself is not transmitted), the device name and the program version. For the trial version, additionally your email address as well as hash values of hardware characteristics (e.g. serial number of the mainboard, network addresses – only as non-reversible hash values, not the characteristics themselves), so that the trial version can only be used once per device and per email address. The IP address is only stored as a non-reversible hash value to prevent abuse. For licences per server or per tenant, the program additionally transmits what is bound to the licence: the Cleaner the names of the cleaned servers and clients, the Intune Manager a non-reversible hash value of the tenant ID and the name of each tenant (Entra tenant) you sign in to.
This information serves the performance of the contract (licence management, number of devices, term) and the prevention of abuse. It is retained for the duration of the licence and thereafter in accordance with statutory retention obligations. Scan data, evaluations and credentials of your environment are never transmitted – they remain on your device.
Intune Manager: Microsoft Intune, AI assistant and log database
The Intune Manager connects directly from your device to your Microsoft tenant (Microsoft Graph) and – if you set it up – to the log database (Azure Log Analytics) in your own Azure subscription; this data does not pass through us. If you use the AI assistant, the program sends your requests with your own API key directly to the provider you have chosen (Anthropic or OpenAI) – only information about the setups and the settings of the app, never the setup files themselves and no tenant, device or user names. The terms and privacy policies of the respective provider or your contract with Microsoft apply.
Address suggestions in the order form
When you type the street in the order forms (licences, Easly), we suggest matching Swiss addresses. For this purpose, your browser sends the characters entered directly to the address search of the Swiss Confederation (geo.admin.ch, Federal Office of Topography swisstopo). No further information is transmitted; swisstopo processes the request in accordance with its own privacy policy. You can also simply enter the address manually without using the suggestions.
Easly (subscription)
For ordering and managing an Easly subscription, we process company, name, address, email address, the chosen address of the instance as well as information about the subscription and the payments. Payment is made via PayPal (PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., Luxembourg); PayPal's privacy policy applies. Your instance regularly reports technical metrics to our licence server (version, storage used, number of documents, time of the last sign-in) for monitoring operations – no content.
The data you enter in your instance (e.g. your customers, invoices, receipts and personnel data) is processed by us exclusively on your behalf in accordance with the data processing agreement. You as the customer are the controller for this data.
Disclosure
We do not disclose personal data to third parties unless this is necessary for the performance of the contract (e.g. payment processing), required by law, or you have given your consent. Disclosure abroad only takes place within the scope of the services mentioned.
Your rights
You can request information about your personal data processed by us at any time and demand its correction, deletion or the restriction of processing, as well as withdraw any consent given. To do so, please contact Email (JavaScript required). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
Security
We protect your data with appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS) on all pages.
