CVE-2026-95607High 8.5

← All vulnerabilities

Summary

The WPLMS learning management theme for WordPress, up to and including version 4.973, is affected by a blind SQL injection vulnerability (CWE-89). An attacker with a low-privilege account can send crafted requests to read, modify or delete database contents, including user accounts and private data. Patchstack rates the issue as high priority and expects exploitation, but no in-the-wild exploitation or public proof of concept has been found so far.

Affected

  • VibeThemes WPLMS theme for WordPress, versions up to and including 4.973
  • Required privilege: low (PR:L); the exact role is not confirmed, earlier WPLMS SQL injection issues required subscriber-level access

Fixed in

  • Patched version according to Patchstack: 4.974 (not yet confirmed by the vendor)
  • Vendor advisory and changelog: Unknown.

Workaround

  • Unknown. No vendor mitigation guidance was retrievable.
  • Restrict who can register or log in on the WordPress site.
  • A WAF or virtual patch may be available from your hosting provider; whether a Patchstack mitigation rule exists for this CVE is unknown.

Exploitation

  • In the wild: no evidence found; not listed in CISA KEV according to one aggregator.
  • Public proof of concept: Unknown.
  • EPSS: 0.00211 (low).
  • CISA SSVC: exploitation none, automatable no, technical impact partial.
  • Patchstack expects exploitation and mass-exploit use of this class of bug.

Our recommendation

  • Check now whether WPLMS is installed and which version is active.
  • Update to version 4.974 or later as soon as the vendor confirms the fix; contact VibeThemes if the update is not available.
  • Until patched, restrict self-registration and review accounts with low privileges.
  • If a patch cannot be applied, consider a WAF or virtual patch and monitor logs for SQL injection patterns.
  • Check the NVD entry and KEV listing for updates.

Public exploits

PoC-in-GitHub, Metasploit and Exploit-DB list nothing for this CVE.
