IBM TRIRIGA Application Platform: Session token exposure in HTML response

CVE-2026-93892High 8.1

← All vulnerabilities

Summary

IBM TRIRIGA Application Platform versions 5.0.0 through 5.0.8 expose session tokens in HTML responses, particularly in the admin console. A remote attacker with valid low-privileged credentials can obtain these tokens and may be able to take over other sessions and access sensitive information. The CVSS base score of 8.1 is IBM's own (CNA) score.

Affected

  • IBM TRIRIGA Application Platform 5.0.0 through 5.0.8 (Linux, Windows, AIX)

Fixed in

  • Upgrade to IBM TRIRIGA Application Platform 5.0.9 or a later supported release containing the fix

Workaround

Unknown. IBM lists no workaround or mitigation in the bulletin.

Exploitation

  • No public proof of concept known.
  • Not listed in the CISA KEV catalog; no evidence of exploitation in the wild found.
  • CISA SSVC assessment: exploitation none, automatable no, technical impact total.

Our recommendation

  • Upgrade affected TRIRIGA installations to 5.0.9 or later. Check IBM Fix Central and the release notes before planning the upgrade.
  • Until patched, restrict admin console access to internal networks or VPN and review accounts with access.
  • Monitor for session reuse from unexpected IP addresses and invalidate existing sessions after patching.
  • Check the other IBM TRIRIGA CVEs published in October 2026 (for example CVE-2026-93891 and CVE-2026-107400), as the 5.0.9 upgrade is expected to cover them.

Public exploits

PoC-in-GitHub, Metasploit and Exploit-DB list nothing for this CVE.
