IBM Langflow OSS: Code injection allows remote code execution

CVE-2026-93445High 8.8

← All vulnerabilities

Summary

IBM Langflow OSS, an open-source low-code tool for building AI agents and applications, contains a code injection flaw (CWE-94) in its code generation handling. A remote attacker with a valid user account can execute arbitrary code with the privileges of the Langflow process. An attacker with code execution can reach stored credentials and connected data. The flaw is rated CVSS 8.8 (high).

Affected

  • IBM Langflow OSS 1.0.0 through 1.12.2

Fixed in

  • Upgrade to Langflow OSS 1.12.3 or later (per the CVE record and IBM's bulletin reference).
  • IBM's later bulletin recommends 1.13.0 for installations on 1.0.0 to 1.12.8.

Workaround

Unknown. No workaround beyond the upgrade is reported in the sources. Restricting user access and keeping the instance off the public internet reduce exposure but do not fix the flaw.

Exploitation

  • Not listed in CISA's Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. CISA SSVC: exploitation none, not automatable.
  • No public proof of concept found. Neither the CVE record nor IBM reports exploitation.

Our recommendation

  • Inventory all Langflow OSS instances, including those set up by developers, and record their versions.
  • Upgrade to 1.13.0 or the latest release, at least to 1.12.3.
  • Confirm that authentication is enforced and auto-login is disabled.
  • Do not expose Langflow directly to the internet.
  • If a vulnerable instance was exposed and misuse cannot be ruled out, rotate the API keys and secrets stored in Langflow.

Public exploits

PoC-in-GitHub, Metasploit and Exploit-DB list nothing for this CVE.

Original description (NVD)
