Langflow OSS: Remote code execution by authenticated users via code injection

CVE-2026-93443High 8.8

← All vulnerabilities

Summary

IBM Langflow OSS versions 1.0.0 through 1.12.2 contain a code injection flaw (CWE-94) that allows a remote attacker with a valid account to execute arbitrary code. Successful exploitation runs code with the privileges of the Langflow service, which can expose stored API keys, model credentials and data. IBM rates the issue at CVSS 8.8 and recommends upgrading to version 1.12.3.

Affected

  • IBM Langflow OSS 1.0.0 through 1.12.2

Fixed in

  • Upgrade to Langflow OSS 1.12.3 (named by IBM as the remediation release). Check IBM's bulletin for later releases, as a newer advisory lists 1.12.3 as affected.

Workaround

Unknown. IBM documents no workaround.

Exploitation

  • No known exploitation and no public proof-of-concept as of the research notes.
  • Not listed in CISA KEV.
  • CISA SSVC: exploitation none, automatable no, technical impact total.

Our recommendation

  • Inventory all Langflow OSS instances, including test and demo systems, and record their versions.
  • Upgrade to at least 1.12.3, or the newest release supported by IBM's bulletin.
  • Restrict network access to Langflow and remove unneeded user accounts.
  • Check whether instances on 1.12.2 or earlier were reachable from untrusted networks, and review logs for unexpected workflow edits or child processes.
  • Rotate API keys and credentials stored in or accessible to Langflow if exposure is suspected.

Public exploits

PoC-in-GitHub, Metasploit and Exploit-DB list nothing for this CVE.
