Adobe Commerce: Stored Cross-Site Scripting in form fields

CVE-2026-92911High 8.7

← All vulnerabilities

Summary

A stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability in Adobe Commerce allows a low-privileged attacker to inject malicious scripts into vulnerable form fields. The script runs in the browser of any user who opens the page containing the field, which can lead to takeover of the victim's account or session, including administrator sessions. The scope is changed and user interaction is required. Adobe fixed the issue in APSB26-153 (October 2026).

Affected

  • Adobe Commerce 2.4.4 to 2.4.9 (builds 2026-sep and earlier)
  • Adobe Commerce B2B 1.3.3 to 1.5.3 (builds 2026-sep and earlier)
  • Magento Open Source 2.4.6 to 2.4.9 (bulletin); CVE record lists 2.4.7 to 2.4.9, confirm with Adobe

Fixed in

  • Adobe Commerce: 2.4.4-2026-oct to 2.4.9-2026-oct (2.4.10-alpha1 also listed)
  • Adobe Commerce B2B: 1.3.3-2026-oct to 1.5.3-2026-oct (1.5.4-alpha1 also listed)
  • Magento Open Source: 2.4.7-2026-oct to 2.4.9-2026-oct
  • Prerequisite: the September hotfix for CVE-2026-75650 must remain installed

Workaround

Unknown. No vendor interim mitigation for this CVE is known; apply the update.

Exploitation

  • Adobe is not aware of any exploits in the wild for the issues in APSB26-153.
  • Not listed in CISA KEV at the time of research; no public proof of concept known.
  • CISA SSVC: exploitation none, not automatable, total technical impact.

Our recommendation

  • Identify all Adobe Commerce, B2B and Magento Open Source installations and their exact builds.
  • Confirm that the September hotfix for CVE-2026-75650 is installed.
  • Apply the matching October 2026 patch first in a staging copy, test custom modules, then deploy.
  • Review admin and customer accounts and check form fields for injected script content.
  • Monitor the Adobe bulletin and CISA KEV for changes.

Public exploits

PoC-in-GitHub, Metasploit and Exploit-DB list nothing for this CVE.
