Oracle Identity Manager Connector: Authentication bypass in LDAP Gateway
Summary
The LDAP Gateway component of Oracle Identity Manager Connector (versions 12.2.1.4.0 and 14.1.2.1.0) contains authentication weaknesses (CWE-287, CWE-306). An unauthenticated attacker with network access to the LDAP interface can compromise the connector, with a possible takeover of the product. Oracle rates the flaw CVSS 9.8 (Critical). Exploitation requires no user interaction and no credentials.
Affected
- Oracle Identity Manager Connector 12.2.1.4.0
- Oracle Identity Manager Connector 14.1.2.1.0
Fixed in
Unknown. Check the Oracle October 2026 Critical Patch Update advisory for the patch for your version.
Workaround
- No vendor-confirmed workaround known.
- Restrict access to the LDAP Gateway to trusted hosts using firewall rules or network segmentation (interim measure, not confirmed by Oracle for this CVE).
Exploitation
- Exploited in the wild: No evidence found. Not listed in the CISA KEV catalog.
- CISA SSVC: exploitation none, automatable yes, technical impact total.
- Public proof of concept: Not found.
Our recommendation
- Confirm whether Oracle Identity Manager Connector 12.2.1.4.0 or 14.1.2.1.0 is in use and where the LDAP Gateway runs.
- Restrict LDAP Gateway access to trusted hosts now. Do not expose LDAP ports to the internet.
- Apply the October 2026 Oracle Critical Patch Update fix for your version and verify it afterwards.
- Monitor for KEV listing or public exploit code and review the Oracle advisory.
Public exploits
PoC-in-GitHub, Metasploit and Exploit-DB list nothing for this CVE.
