Oracle Identity Manager Connector: Authentication bypass in LDAP Gateway
Summary
Oracle Identity Manager Connector, part of Oracle Fusion Middleware, contains a flaw in the LDAP Gateway component that allows unauthenticated access. An attacker with network access to the LDAP interface can create, modify or delete critical data and access data accessible through the product, with high confidentiality and integrity impact. No user interaction or credentials are required. Oracle fixed the issue in its October 2026 Critical Patch Update.
Affected
- Oracle Identity Manager Connector 12.2.1.4.0
- Oracle Identity Manager Connector 14.1.2.1.0
Fixed in
- Apply the patch for the affected version from Oracle's October 2026 Critical Patch Update (published 20 October 2026, Rev 2 of 26 October 2026).
- Specific patch numbers for 12.2.1.4.0 and 14.1.2.1.0: Unknown.
Workaround
- No Oracle-issued workaround known.
- Generic measure (not vendor-verified): restrict access to the LDAP Gateway to trusted hosts using firewall rules or network segmentation. Oracle cautions that such measures can disrupt functionality and cannot replace patches.
Exploitation
- CISA SSVC: exploitation none, automatable yes, technical impact total.
- Not listed in CISA's Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog.
- No public proof of concept found in the research; absence of evidence is not proof.
Our recommendation
- Check whether Oracle Identity Manager Connector is present in your environment, and whether the LDAP port is reachable from untrusted networks.
- Apply the matching patch from the October 2026 CPU in a test environment first, then in production; prioritise internet-reachable or untrusted-network systems.
- Until patched, restrict LDAP Gateway access to trusted hosts and monitor LDAP access logs for unusual activity.
- Do not confuse with CVE-2026-91491 (same component, CVSS 9.8) or CVE-2026-91493 (CVSS 7.5).
Public exploits
PoC-in-GitHub, Metasploit and Exploit-DB list nothing for this CVE.

Original description (NVD)
Vulnerability in the Oracle Identity Manager Connector product of Oracle Fusion Middleware (component: LDAP Gateway). Supported versions that are affected are 12.2.1.4.0 and 14.1.2.1.0. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with network access via LDAP to compromise Oracle Identity Manager Connector. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized creation, deletion or modification access to critical data or all Oracle Identity Manager Connector accessible data as well as unauthorized access to critical data or complete access to all Oracle Identity Manager Connector accessible data. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 9.1 (Confidentiality and Integrity impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:N).
