Oracle Siebel CRM End User: Missing authentication in Communications Panel
Summary
Oracle Siebel CRM End User versions 17.0 through 26.9 have a Communications Panel/Dashboard component that lacks authentication (CWE-306). An unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP can read all data the end-user interface can access and can update, insert or delete some of it. No privileges or user interaction are needed, so the risk is mainly relevant if the component is reachable from the internet. The CNA/NVD CVSS score is 8.2; VulDB lists 7.3.
Affected
- Oracle Siebel CRM End User, versions 17.0 through 26.9 (Communications Panel/Dashboard)
Fixed in
Unknown. Check the Siebel version table in Oracle's October 2026 Critical Patch Update advisory.
Workaround
- No verified Oracle workaround is known.
- Restrict access to the Communications Panel/Dashboard at the reverse proxy or firewall until patched.
- Confirm with Oracle which supported configuration change is available.
Exploitation
- No public exploit known; not in CISA KEV.
- CISA SSVC: Exploitation 'none', Automatable 'yes'.
- Absence of known exploits does not mean no exploit exists.
Our recommendation
- Check whether Siebel CRM End User 17.0 to 26.9 is deployed and which version.
- Check whether the Communications Panel/Dashboard is reachable from the internet.
- Apply the Oracle October 2026 CPU as described in Oracle's advisory.
- Restrict access to the component until it is patched.
- Re-check exploit and KEV sources weekly, as NVD analysis is still pending.
Public exploits
PoC-in-GitHub, Metasploit and Exploit-DB list nothing for this CVE.
