Oracle Identity Manager: Missing authentication in End User Self Service
Summary
Oracle Identity Manager, component End User Self Service, has a missing authentication flaw (CWE-287, CWE-306). An unauthenticated attacker with network access via T3 or IIOP can compromise the product and take it over. No credentials or user interaction are required, and CVSS 3.1 rates the issue 9.8 (Critical).
Affected
- Oracle Identity Manager 12.2.1.4.0
- Oracle Identity Manager 14.1.2.1.0 (one secondary source lists 14.1.2.0.0; verify with Oracle)
Fixed in
Unknown. Check the Oracle October 2026 Critical Patch Update advisory and My Oracle Support for patch details.
Workaround
- No vendor workaround found in the sources reviewed. Check the Oracle advisory for mitigation text.
- Restrict network access to the T3 and IIOP services to trusted networks only. Do not expose them to the internet.
Exploitation
- CISA SSVC data: exploitation none, automatable yes.
- Not listed in CISA KEV according to OpenCVE.
- No public proof of concept found. This is a search gap, not confirmed absence.
Our recommendation
- Determine whether Oracle Identity Manager 12.2.1.4.0 or 14.1.2.1.x is in use and at which patch level.
- Obtain the October 2026 patch from Oracle and apply it as soon as possible.
- Until patched, confirm that T3 and IIOP are not reachable from the internet or untrusted segments.
- Check external exposure with a scan and monitor for exploitation reports.
Public exploits
PoC-in-GitHub, Metasploit and Exploit-DB list nothing for this CVE.
