Affected

  • Oracle Outside In Technology 8.5.8 (Clean Content SDK component)

Fixed in

  • Unknown. No fixed version or patch ID is named in the sources reviewed. Check Oracle's October 2026 Critical Patch Update advisory for the patch for CVE-2026-91340.

Workaround

  • None provided in the CVE record.
  • Practical mitigation until patched: restrict network access to HTTP endpoints that expose the Clean Content SDK to internal, trusted callers only.

Exploitation

Our recommendation

  • Open Oracle's October 2026 CPU advisory and record the patch ID and revision for 8.5.8.
  • Identify all systems running Outside In 8.5.8, including copies embedded in third-party applications; ask application vendors whether they bundle it.
  • Confirm whether any HTTP endpoint exposes the Clean Content SDK, and restrict it to internal networks until patched.
  • Apply the patch within your standard timeline for high-severity Oracle vulnerabilities.

Public exploits

PoC-in-GitHub, Metasploit and Exploit-DB list nothing for this CVE.
