Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools: Improper access control in installation security
Summary
Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools versions 9.2.0.0 through 9.2.26.5 contain a flaw in the Installation Security component (CWE-284). An attacker with an existing logon to the infrastructure where EnterpriseOne Tools runs can take over the product, with full impact on confidentiality, integrity and availability. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by a person other than the attacker. The CVSS base score is 7.8 (High).
Affected
- Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools 9.2.0.0 through 9.2.26.5
Fixed in
Unknown. Check the JD Edwards section of the Oracle October 2026 Critical Patch Update for the patched builds.
Workaround
Unknown beyond applying the Oracle patch. Restricting who can log on to the EnterpriseOne infrastructure reduces exposure, but this is not a documented Oracle mitigation.
Exploitation
- Not listed in CISA KEV.
- No public proof of concept found; not confirmed either way.
- CISA SSVC: exploitation none, not automatable, total technical impact.
- EPSS 0.00124 (very low predicted exploitation probability).
Our recommendation
- Check whether you run JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and whether your version is in the affected range.
- Apply the Oracle October 2026 Critical Patch Update for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools.
- Restrict logon access to the EnterpriseOne servers and their network segment to necessary users.
- Review sibling JD Edwards records from the same batch (CVE-2026-91303, CVE-2026-91313 and CVE-2026-91311), which may be more severe.
- Monitor for unusual logons and changes on EnterpriseOne systems.
Public exploits
PoC-in-GitHub, Metasploit and Exploit-DB list nothing for this CVE.
