Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools: Vulnerability allowing system takeover
Summary
CVE-2026-91296 affects Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools in the Enterprise Infrastructure SEC component, in supported versions 9.2.0.0 to 9.2.26.5. An unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP can compromise the product, and the vendor reports that a successful attack can lead to a takeover of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools. Affected
- Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools, supported versions 9.2.0.0 to 9.2.26.5
- Component: Enterprise Infrastructure SEC
Fixed in
- Unknown. The fix is expected in Oracle's October 2026 Critical Patch Update, but the exact patch or fixed release for this CVE could not be verified.
Workaround
- No vendor workaround is published in the CVE record.
- Restricting network access to the EnterpriseOne Tools HTTP interfaces is a general mitigation and not a vendor recommendation.
Exploitation
- No evidence of exploitation in the wild found.
- Not listed in CISA KEV. CISA SSVC assessment: exploitation none, automatable no, technical impact total.
- No public proof of concept found in the sources checked.
Our recommendation
- Check whether JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools 9.2.x is in use.
- Verify the fixed release in Oracle's October 2026 Critical Patch Update advisory and apply it.
- Until patched, restrict access to the Tools HTTP interfaces, especially from the internet and partner networks.
- Train users to recognise phishing and crafted links.
- If JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Orchestrator is deployed, check CVE-2026-91299 separately.
- Monitor the NVD record, which was still awaiting analysis at the time of research.
Public exploits
PoC-in-GitHub, Metasploit and Exploit-DB list nothing for this CVE.
