Oracle SOA Suite: Unspecified vulnerability in Fabric Layer
Summary
Oracle SOA Suite versions 12.2.1.4.0 and 14.1.2.0.0 are affected by a vulnerability in the Fabric Layer component, fixed in Oracle's October 2026 Critical Patch Update. A remote attacker with network access and a low-privilege account can compromise SOA Suite, with a possible takeover of the system (CVSS 8.8, high impact on confidentiality, integrity and availability). No user interaction is required. The exact protocol and the attack details are not confirmed in the sources, and no exploitation has been found at the time of research.
Affected
- Oracle SOA Suite 12.2.1.4.0
- Oracle SOA Suite 14.1.2.0.0
Fixed in
- Included in Oracle's October 2026 Critical Patch Update (released 20 Oct 2026).
- Exact patch ID and fixed release for this CVE: Unknown. Check the SOA Suite table in the Oracle advisory.
Workaround
- Unknown. The CVE record lists no workaround.
- As general hardening, restrict network access to the SOA Suite Fabric Layer and limit who holds low-privilege accounts.
Exploitation
- Not listed in CISA KEV at the time of research.
- No public exploit or exploitation report found. This means nothing was found, not that none exists.
- EPSS about 0.4% (0.00447).
- CISA SSVC: exploitation none, automatable no, technical impact total.
Our recommendation
- Apply Oracle's October 2026 Critical Patch Update to SOA Suite 12.2.1.4.0 and 14.1.2.0.0 after confirming the patch ID in the Oracle advisory.
- Check whether any SOA Suite instance is reachable from the internet or untrusted networks, and restrict access.
- Review accounts with low privileges and remove unneeded ones.
- Monitor SOA Suite logs for unusual access.
Public exploits
PoC-in-GitHub, Metasploit and Exploit-DB list nothing for this CVE.
