Oracle Identity Manager Connector: Unauthenticated data access via Generic REST

CVE-2026-91212High 8.6

← All vulnerabilities

Summary

Oracle Identity Manager Connector 12.2.1.4.0 and 14.1.2.1.0 contain a vulnerability in the Generic REST component. An unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP can gain unauthorized access to data accessible through the connector. The scope change means that the impact may reach beyond the connector itself. Oracle rates the flaw with CVSS 3.1 8.6 (High), with the impact limited to confidentiality.

Affected

  • Oracle Identity Manager Connector 12.2.1.4.0
  • Oracle Identity Manager Connector 14.1.2.1.0

Fixed in

  • Unknown. Check Oracle's October 2026 Critical Patch Update advisory and the Patch Availability Document for the exact patch.

Workaround

  • No workaround is documented in the CVE record.
  • Unconfirmed general hardening: restrict network access to the connector's HTTP endpoints to management networks and limit the Generic REST endpoints until the patch is applied.

Exploitation

  • Not listed in CISA KEV.
  • No public proof-of-concept found.
  • CISA SSVC: exploitation none, automatable yes, technical impact partial.
  • Waratek reports no known in-the-wild exploitation of vulnerabilities in this CPU as of publication; this is a vendor blog and may be outdated.
  • EPSS approx. 0.3%.

Our recommendation

  • Check whether Oracle Identity Manager Connector 12.2.1.4.0 or 14.1.2.1.0 is deployed and whether its HTTP endpoints are reachable from the internet or untrusted internal networks.
  • Apply the Oracle October 2026 CPU through your Oracle support channel as soon as possible.
  • If the patch cannot be applied quickly, restrict access to the connector.
  • Monitor access logs of the connector for unusual HTTP requests.

Public exploits

PoC-in-GitHub, Metasploit and Exploit-DB list nothing for this CVE.
