JTL-WMS: SQL injection in WMS MobileServer request handling
Summary
A parameter from the request body of the WMS MobileServer, a component of JTL-WMS, is inserted into a T-SQL statement without parameterization or escaping. A remote attacker with network access to the service can execute arbitrary SQL statements in the context of the application's database account, which is highly privileged. From version 2.0 this can be combined with CVE-2026-89309 (authentication bypass) without any credentials; in versions before 2.0 valid credentials are required. Only installations where the WMS MobileServer has been set up and started are affected.
Affected
- WMS MobileServer (component of WMS, part of On-Prem ERP) from 1.7.0 up to before 2.0.7, 2.1.3 and 2.2.1
- Branches 1.7.* to 1.11.* are affected and receive no patch
- Default port TCP 8080 (configurable)
- A standard installation does not start the MobileServer automatically
Fixed in
- Fixed in 2.0.7, 2.1.3 and 2.2.1 (released 13 October 2026)
- No fix for 1.7.0 to 1.11.x; for these installations an upgrade to 2.0.7 or later is the only remedy
- Stay within your release branch
Workaround
- Unknown.
- General measure, not a vendor workaround: restrict network access to the MobileServer port so that it is not reachable from the internet
Exploitation
- CISA SSVC: exploitation none, automatable no, technical impact total
- PSIRT lists no public exploit; not listed in CISA KEV
- No reports of exploitation in the wild in the sources reviewed; this is not a confirmed absence
Our recommendation
- Check whether the WMS MobileServer is installed and running, and on which port
- Update to 2.0.7, 2.1.3 or 2.2.1 as appropriate for your release branch; for 1.x installations, upgrade to 2.0.7 or later
- Do not expose the MobileServer to the internet; use a VPN for remote access
- Treat CVE-2026-89309 and CVE-2026-89310 together and review the database account privileges
- Monitor logs for unusual requests to the MobileServer and database
Public exploits
PoC-in-GitHub, Metasploit and Exploit-DB list nothing for this CVE.
