CVE-2026-87346High 8.7

← All vulnerabilities

Summary

Oracle HTTP Server with the Oracle WebLogic Server Proxy Plug-in, part of Oracle Fusion Middleware, is affected. An unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP can compromise the server, which can lead to unauthorized creation, deletion or modification of data and unauthorized access to data accessible through the server. Exploitation is difficult (high attack complexity), and the impact may extend to additional products (scope change). The CVSS 3.1 base score is 8.7 (high).

Affected

  • Oracle HTTP Server with Oracle WebLogic Server Proxy Plug-in, supported version 12.2.1.4.0
  • Oracle HTTP Server with Oracle WebLogic Server Proxy Plug-in, supported version 14.1.2.0.0

Fixed in

Unknown. Patch IDs for the October 2026 Critical Patch Update are listed at https://www.oracle.com/security-alerts/cpuoct2026.html and must be checked there.

Workaround

Unknown. No vendor-published workaround was identified. Oracle's Critical Patch Update is the fix.

Exploitation

  • No public proof of concept, in-the-wild exploitation or CISA KEV listing is known for CVE-2026-87346.
  • A related CVE in the same proxy plug-in family, CVE-2026-21962, is listed in CISA KEV.

Our recommendation

  • Check whether Oracle HTTP Server or the WebLogic Server Proxy Plug-in is in use, including in Oracle Fusion Middleware and ERP stacks.
  • If affected and internet-facing, prioritise applying the October 2026 Oracle Critical Patch Update.
  • Until patched, restrict which hosts can reach the OHS/proxy listener and limit back-end WebLogic access to the proxy.
  • Monitor web server logs for anomalous HTTP requests.

Public exploits

PoC-in-GitHub, Metasploit and Exploit-DB list nothing for this CVE.
