Oracle Data Integrator: Unauthenticated access to data via HTTP
Summary
Oracle Data Integrator versions 12.2.1.4.0 and 14.1.2.0.0 (Data Transforms component) contain a vulnerability classified as missing authentication for a critical function (CWE-306). An unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP can compromise the product, gaining read access to critical data and parts of the data that Oracle Data Integrator can access, and modify, insert or delete some of it. The CVSS base score is 8.2 (High).
Affected
- Oracle Data Integrator 12.2.1.4.0
- Oracle Data Integrator 14.1.2.0.0
Fixed in
- Patches are listed in Oracle's October 2026 Critical Patch Update advisory (https://www.oracle.com/security-alerts/cpuoct2026.html). Patch numbers and fixed versions: Unknown. Check the revised advisory (Rev 2, 26 Oct 2026) risk matrix.
Workaround
- No CVE-specific workaround known.
- Restrict HTTP access to Oracle Data Integrator to management or application networks only (recommendation, not vendor guidance).
Exploitation
- Unknown. No exploitation reports, KEV listing or public proof of concept found as of 1 Nov 2026.
- CISA SSVC: Exploitation none, Automatable yes, Technical Impact partial.
Our recommendation
- Inventory all Oracle Data Integrator instances and check for versions 12.2.1.4.0 or 14.1.2.0.0.
- Check whether any ODI web or REST endpoint is reachable from the internet and remove that exposure if not needed.
- Apply the October 2026 Critical Patch Update for ODI from the revised Oracle advisory as a priority.
- Until patched, restrict network access to ODI and review web logs for unexpected requests.
- Re-check NVD and CISA KEV, as the NVD status is still Awaiting Analysis.
Public exploits
PoC-in-GitHub, Metasploit and Exploit-DB list nothing for this CVE.
