Fundiin cho WooCommerce: Missing authorisation in REST API routes
Summary
The Fundiin cho WooCommerce WordPress plugin up to and including 3.4.0 does not properly check authorisation on several REST API routes and relies on a credential that is identical on every installation. Unauthenticated attackers can read payment credentials and customer order data, change the payment gateway configuration so that payments are credited elsewhere, and mark unpaid orders as paid. The same flaw allows unauthenticated stored cross-site scripting on stores that use the classic checkout instead of the block-based checkout.
Affected
- Fundiin cho WooCommerce WordPress plugin, all versions up to and including 3.4.0
- Stores with the plugin enabled; the XSS part applies only to the classic checkout
Fixed in
Unknown. WPScan lists "No known fix".
- Fundiin's GitHub release v2.0.9 describes security hardening changes, but it does not update the WordPress.org package and its version numbering does not clearly match the 3.x line. It is not verified as a fix for CVE-2026-81649.
Workaround
- Disable or uninstall the plugin until a verified fixed version is available (VulDB advice).
- Stores with the block-based checkout are not exposed to the XSS path, but this does not address the credential and order manipulation issues.
Exploitation
- CISA SSVC: automatable yes, technical impact total.
- VulDB: exploitation is reported as easy and requires no authentication; no public technical details or exploit are known. The WPScan Proof of Concept section is empty.
- EPSS 0.14%; not listed in CISA KEV. No reports of active exploitation found.
Our recommendation
- Check whether the plugin is installed on any store and which version is active.
- Disable the plugin until a fixed version from the WordPress.org release is confirmed.
- Review gateway settings, recent payment gateway changes and orders marked as paid without a matching payment record.
- Rotate the payment credentials with Fundiin if exposure cannot be ruled out.
- Review web server logs for unusual requests to the plugin's REST routes.
Public exploits
PoC-in-GitHub, Metasploit and Exploit-DB list nothing for this CVE.

Original description (NVD)
The Fundiin cho WooCommerce WordPress plugin through 3.4.0 does not have proper authorisation on several of its REST API routes, relying instead on a credential that is identical on every installation, allowing unauthenticated attackers to disclose the store's payment credentials and customer order data, overwrite the payment gateway configuration so that payments are credited elsewhere, and mark unpaid orders as paid. The same missing authorisation also allows arbitrary script to be stored in a field which is output unescaped on the classic checkout, leading to unauthenticated stored XSS on stores that do not use the block-based checkout.
