Omnispace Agora Project: Broken access control in space assignment

CVE-2026-63174High 8.6

← All vulnerabilities

Summary

Agora Project (Omnispace) before 26.10.0 contains a broken access control flaw in the spaceAffectList function. A space administrator can assign users to spaces outside their own authority because the rights check on the target space is missing during the import flow. This breaks tenant isolation between spaces and allows manipulation of user-space memberships.

Affected

  • Omnispace Agora Project versions before 26.10.0

Fixed in

  • Version 26.10.0 or later (the vendor's GitHub release is tagged 26.10; later 26.10.x builds are available)

Workaround

  • Unknown. No vendor-documented workaround.
  • Restrict the space administrator role to trusted staff until the update is installed.

Exploitation

  • No evidence of exploitation in the wild found. No CISA KEV entry.
  • CISA SSVC: exploitation none, automatable no, technical impact total.
  • Public proof of concept: unknown.

Our recommendation

  • Update Agora Project to the latest 26.10.x release.
  • Limit the space administrator role to trusted staff.
  • Review recent user-to-space assignments and imports for unexpected memberships.
  • Check audit or database logs for these changes.
  • Prioritise the update, as other Agora CVEs fixed in 26.10.0 are more severe and some are unauthenticated.

Public exploits

PoC-in-GitHub, Metasploit and Exploit-DB list nothing for this CVE.

Original description (NVD)

Omnispace Agora Project before 26.10.0 contains a broken access control vulnerability that allows a space administrator to assign users into spaces outside their authority because the spaceAffectList affectation was performed without verifying the caller's rights to the target space. Attackers can exploit the missing readRight() check in the import flow's join INSERT to break tenant isolation and manipulate user-space assignments across unauthorized spaces.
