Barcode Scanner with Inventory & Order Manager: SQL injection by subscribers

CVE-2026-62117High 8.5

← All vulnerabilities

Summary

The WordPress plugin Barcode Scanner with Inventory & Order Manager up to and including version 1.13.1 contains an SQL injection vulnerability (CWE-89). An authenticated attacker with a low-privilege Subscriber account can inject SQL commands, which may allow reading, modifying or deleting database content, including user and order data. Sites with open user registration are the main risk, because Subscriber is the default role for self-registered users.

Affected

  • Barcode Scanner with Inventory & Order Manager (WordPress plugin) up to and including 1.13.1

Fixed in

  • Version 1.13.6 (first unaffected version according to the CVE record and Patchstack)

Workaround

  • No workaround needed if the plugin can be updated.
  • If an immediate update is not possible: disable public user registration or restrict new accounts to trusted roles, review existing Subscriber accounts, deactivate the plugin if it is not essential, and use a web application firewall with virtual patching if available.

Exploitation

  • No public proof of concept or confirmed exploitation found.
  • Not listed in CISA KEV. CISA SSVC: exploitation none, automatable no. EPSS 0.0027.
  • Patchstack rates the issue as high priority and expects exploitation, and reports a mitigation rule.

Our recommendation

  • Check all WordPress sites for this plugin and its version.
  • Update to version 1.13.6 or later and verify the version afterwards.
  • Review Subscriber accounts and user registration settings.
  • If logging is available, check for unusual database errors or queries from Subscriber accounts.
  • Also update to 1.13.6 to cover CVE-2026-62116 (unauthenticated XSS in the same plugin versions).

Public exploits

PoC-in-GitHub, Metasploit and Exploit-DB list nothing for this CVE.
