Adobe Connect: Code injection leads to arbitrary code execution
Summary
Adobe Connect desktop and Android clients contain a code injection flaw (CWE-94) that allows arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. An attacker can run code on the endpoint if a victim opens a maliciously crafted URL or visits a compromised web page. Adobe rates the issue critical (CVSS 9.6), while VulDB lists it as medium (6.3). Adobe reports no known exploitation in the wild.
Affected
- Adobe Connect Desktop Windows: 2026.8.51 and earlier
- Adobe Connect Desktop Mac Silicon: 2026.08.45 and earlier
- Adobe Connect Desktop Mac Intel: 2026.01.39 and earlier
- Adobe Connect Mobile (Android): 4.4 and earlier
Fixed in
- Adobe Connect Desktop Windows: 2026.9.61
- Adobe Connect Desktop Mac Silicon: 2026.10.66
- Adobe Connect Desktop Mac Intel: 2026.10.170
- Adobe Connect Mobile (Android): 4.5
Workaround
Unknown.
Exploitation
- Adobe is not aware of any exploits in the wild.
- No public proof-of-concept exploit found as of 30 October 2026 (VulDB, OffSeq).
- A public Nuclei detection template is reported by OffSeq but was not verified.
- Not listed in CISA KEV as far as known.
Our recommendation
- Update Adobe Connect desktop clients and Android app to the fixed versions listed above (Adobe priority 2).
- Check which employees use Connect clients and prioritise endpoints with outdated versions.
- Remove outdated clients and restrict who may install Connect.
- Train users to be cautious with Connect or meeting links from unknown senders.
- If an on-prem Connect server is operated, check the separate bulletin APSB26-150 directly, as this CVE is not confirmed to be covered by it.
Public exploits
PoC-in-GitHub, Metasploit and Exploit-DB list nothing for this CVE.
