WP2LEADS WordPress plugin: SQL injection by authenticated subscribers

CVE-2026-25434High 8.5

← All vulnerabilities

Summary

WP2LEADS, a WordPress plugin that connects WordPress and WooCommerce with the KlickTipp email marketing service, contains an SQL injection flaw in versions up to and including 3.5.7. An attacker with a Subscriber-level account can inject SQL statements, which may allow reading, modifying or deleting data in the website database, including user accounts. The attack requires a logged-in account, so the exposure depends on whether untrusted users can register on the site.

Affected

  • WP2LEADS plugin up to and including 3.5.7
  • Required privilege: Subscriber (authenticated user)

Fixed in

  • Patched in version 3.5.12 according to Patchstack; verify on the WordPress.org changelog

Workaround

  • Disable open user registration where it is not needed and review existing subscriber accounts
  • Deactivate and remove the plugin if it is not required
  • Patchstack reports a mitigation rule that blocks attacks until the update is applied; ask your hosting provider or a WordPress firewall vendor about virtual patching

Exploitation

  • No known exploitation in the wild; not listed as known exploited
  • CISA SSVC: exploitation none, not automatable
  • No public proof of concept found
  • Patchstack rates the issue as high priority and expects exploitation

Our recommendation

  • Update WP2LEADS to version 3.5.12 or later; if an update is not possible, deactivate the plugin
  • Check whether WP2LEADS is installed on your sites and whether subscriber registration is open
  • Review database and web logs for unusual requests from subscriber accounts

Public exploits

PoC-in-GitHub, Metasploit and Exploit-DB list nothing for this CVE.
