OpenPanel: Information disclosure of integration secrets via notification.rules
Summary
OpenPanel before 3.0.0 returns integration objects from the notification.rules query without redacting them. Slack bot tokens, webhook URLs and webhook authorization headers are therefore readable in plaintext. An attacker who already holds read-level membership of a project can retrieve these credentials and use them against the connected external systems.
Affected
- OpenPanel versions before 3.0.0
Fixed in
- Upgrade to OpenPanel 3.0.0 or later. 3.0.0 is listed as unaffected.
- Newer upstream releases exist; use the latest stable release from the official repository.
Workaround
Unknown. No vendor-documented workaround; upgrading is the remedy.
Exploitation
- No evidence of exploitation in the wild; not listed in CISA KEV.
- No public proof of concept found in public indexes. The absence of findings is not proof of absence.
Our recommendation
- Upgrade OpenPanel to 3.0.0 or later, preferably the latest stable release, with priority for internet-facing instances.
- Review and reduce read-level project memberships.
- Rotate Slack bot tokens, webhook URLs and stored authorization headers if untrusted members could have viewed notification rules before the upgrade.
- Check the vendor advisory for additional guidance.
Public exploits
PoC-in-GitHub, Metasploit and Exploit-DB list nothing for this CVE.

Original description (NVD)
OpenPanel before 3.0.0 contains an information disclosure vulnerability that allows read-level project members to obtain plaintext integration secrets because the notification.rules query skips redactIntegration. Attackers can call the notification.rules tRPC query to retrieve Slack bot tokens, webhook URLs, and authorization headers for use against external systems.
