TOTOLINK A950RG: Command injection in UploadCustomModule

CVE-2026-114575Critical 9.3

← All vulnerabilities

Summary

A flaw in the UploadCustomModule function of lib/cste_modules/product.so on the TOTOLINK A950RG router allows command injection through the FileMd5 argument. The attack can be launched remotely over the network. A public proof-of-concept exploit has been published, and VulDB reports that the exploit may be used. The router's management interface should therefore never be reachable from the internet.

Affected

  • TOTOLINK A950RG, firmware 4.1.2cu.5268_B20221104
  • Other firmware versions: Unknown.

Fixed in

Unknown. No vendor advisory or patched firmware has been found.

Workaround

  • No vendor workaround is known.
  • Disable remote (WAN) management and limit access to the web admin interface to trusted LAN hosts.
  • Block inbound access to the device's management ports at the firewall.

Exploitation

  • Public proof-of-concept exploit: yes (VulDB: exploit status Proof-of-Concept, access public; CISA SSVC: Exploitation poc, Automatable yes).
  • Known exploited in the wild: no evidence found; not listed as known exploited in the sources reviewed.

Our recommendation

  • Inventory all TOTOLINK A950RG devices and check whether their management interface is reachable from the internet.
  • Restrict or disable remote management and isolate the device from untrusted networks now.
  • Check the TOTOLINK support page for a fixed firmware release and apply it if available.
  • If no supported fix exists, replace the device.
  • Monitor the router for unexpected configuration changes or outbound connections.

Public exploits

PoC-in-GitHub, Metasploit and Exploit-DB list nothing for this CVE.
