Veeam ONE: MFA bypass by disabling MFA with Administrator credentials

CVE-2026-107671High 8.5

← All vulnerabilities

Summary

Veeam ONE 13.1 up to build 13.1.0.7233 allows an attacker with valid Administrator credentials to disable multi-factor authentication globally before completing MFA verification. The attacker can then keep access to the product without the second factor. The attack is network-reachable and low-complexity but requires high privileges; Veeam rates it High (CVSS v4.0 8.5).

Affected

  • Veeam ONE 13.1 builds up to and including 13.1.0.7233
  • Older versions (e.g., 13.0.x and 12.x) are not affected according to Veeam
  • Veeam Backup & Replication is not covered by this CVE

Fixed in

  • Veeam ONE 13.1 P1 (build 13.1.0.7940) per Veeam KB4951

Workaround

  • Unknown. Veeam's advisory lists only the patched build and no workaround.
  • Detection step: verify that MFA is still enabled on Veeam ONE and treat the Administrator account as compromised if MFA was turned off without authorisation.

Exploitation

  • No known exploitation at the time of writing.
  • No public exploit according to PSIRT data; no CISA KEV entry.
  • EPSS score: 0.35 %.

Our recommendation

  • Check whether Veeam ONE is installed and confirm its build.
  • If the build is 13.1.0.7233 or earlier, update to Veeam ONE 13.1 P1 (13.1.0.7940) per KB4951.
  • Verify that MFA is enabled on all Veeam ONE administrator accounts and review recent admin logins and MFA setting changes.
  • Restrict Administrator rights and limit access to the Veeam ONE management interface to management networks.

Public exploits

PoC-in-GitHub, Metasploit and Exploit-DB list nothing for this CVE.
