WP Booking System WordPress plugin: Unauthenticated stored XSS in admin screen
Summary
The WP Booking System plugin for WordPress does not sanitise and escape a client-controllable request value before storing it and displaying it in an administration screen. An unauthenticated attacker can store malicious script that runs in the browser session of an administrator who views the stored data, which may lead to account takeover on the WordPress site. Exploitation requires an administrator to view the malicious entry.
Affected
- WP Booking System WordPress plugin, all versions before 2.1.0.1
Fixed in
- Version 2.1.0.1 (first fixed version according to the CVE data; not verified against the vendor changelog)
- A later CVE (CVE-2026-109147) describes a fix in 2.1.0.3, so the latest available release should be used
Workaround
- No vendor workaround found. Update is the main remedy.
- Restrict access to the plugin's admin screens to known staff.
- Train administrators not to open unexpected booking entries without caution.
- Check existing booking records for script-like content.
- A web application firewall rule may reduce exposure but is not a substitute for patching.
Exploitation
- Not listed in CISA KEV.
- CISA SSVC: exploitation none, automatable no, technical impact total.
- EPSS is low (sources differ: 0.22% and 0.00462).
- Exploitation in the wild: unknown. No public proof of concept found.
Our recommendation
- Check the installed version of the WP Booking System plugin now.
- Update to the latest available release, at least 2.1.0.1.
- Verify the current version on the vendor's page.
- Restrict admin screen access and inform administrators about the risk.
- Review existing booking entries for suspicious script content.
- Monitor for unexpected administrator actions or new accounts.
Public exploits
PoC-in-GitHub, Metasploit and Exploit-DB list nothing for this CVE.

Original description (NVD)
The WP Booking System WordPress plugin before 2.1.0.1 does not sanitise and escape a client-controllable request value before storing it and later outputting it in an administration screen, allowing unauthenticated attackers to perform Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks that execute in the session of an administrator who views the stored data.
