Adobe ColdFusion: Improper Input Validation enables code execution

CVE-2026-106613High 8.8

← All vulnerabilities

Summary

Adobe ColdFusion 2025 up to and including 2025.0.13 and 2023 up to and including 2023.0.25 are affected. According to the CNA record, an attacker with low privileges can exploit improper input validation over the network without user interaction to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current user. Adobe's bulletin lists this CVE ID with different data (CWE-918, CVSS 7.1, high complexity), so the exact conditions need confirmation.

Affected

  • Adobe ColdFusion 2025: 0 to 2025.0.13
  • Adobe ColdFusion 2023: 0 to 2023.0.25
  • Platform: All

Fixed in

  • Adobe ColdFusion 2025: 2025.0.14 (APSB26-144, October 13, 2026)
  • Adobe ColdFusion 2023: 2023.0.26 (APSB26-144, October 13, 2026)

Workaround

  • Unknown. No CVE-specific workaround is documented; patching is the only documented fix.
  • A Check Point IPS protection references this flaw under a different ID; its coverage of this CVE is unverified.

Exploitation

  • Adobe is not aware of any exploits in the wild for the issues in APSB26-144.
  • No public proof of concept found: Unknown.
  • CISA SSVC assessment: exploitation none, automatable no, technical impact total.

Our recommendation

  • Patch all ColdFusion 2025 and 2023 instances to 2025.0.14 or 2023.0.26 (or later) as a priority.
  • Check whether any instance, including administrator interfaces, is reachable from the internet.
  • Verify the CVE mapping, CWE and CVSS score with Adobe or NVD before using them in reports; the sources disagree.
  • Review the full APSB26-144 bulletin, since other issues in it are rated critical.
  • Update the JDK/JRE and MySQL Connector as recommended by Adobe.

Public exploits

PoC-in-GitHub, Metasploit and Exploit-DB list nothing for this CVE.
