Brainstorm Force SureCart: PHP object injection via deserialization

CVE-2026-106599High 8.8

← All vulnerabilities

Summary

The SureCart WordPress plugin up to and including version 4.9.3 contains a PHP object injection flaw (CWE-502) caused by deserialization of untrusted data. An attacker with low privileges, such as a customer or other low-privilege account, may be able to send crafted data that the plugin processes, which can lead to harmful actions on the server. Patchstack rates the issue medium priority with a CVSS base score of 8.8, and CISA SSVC rates the technical impact as total.

Affected

  • SureCart plugin for WordPress, versions up to and including 4.9.3
  • Required privilege per CVSS: low (PR:L), no user interaction

Fixed in

  • Version 4.9.4 or later (Patchstack and CNA data). Newer releases are available; update to the latest version.

Workaround

Unknown. No vendor workaround documented. Patchstack lists mitigation rules for SureCart, but it is not confirmed that one covers this CVE.

Exploitation

  • No evidence of exploitation in the wild found.
  • CISA SSVC: exploitation none, automatable no.
  • Patchstack states the vulnerability is expected to become exploited.
  • EPSS about 0.42 percent (low).
  • No public proof of concept found.

Our recommendation

  • Update SureCart to version 4.9.4 or later, preferably the newest available release, immediately.
  • Check which SureCart version is installed on all WordPress sites.
  • Review user roles and limit low-privilege accounts that are not needed.
  • Monitor logs for unusual requests to SureCart endpoints until the update is complete.
  • Verify the CVE record at cve.org, as one aggregator referenced a different CVE ID as a duplicate.

Public exploits

PoC-in-GitHub, Metasploit and Exploit-DB list nothing for this CVE.
