Adobe Campaign Classic: SQL injection with disputed impact
Summary
Adobe Campaign Classic (ACC) v7 up to 7.4.4 build 9402 contains an SQL injection flaw (CWE-89, CVSS 9.9). The CVE description says it allows arbitrary code execution, but Adobe's bulletin lists the impact as security feature bypass, so the actual impact is unresolved. Exploitation requires network access, a low-privileged account and no user interaction. Adobe is not aware of any exploits in the wild.
Affected
- Adobe Campaign Classic ACC v7: 7.4.4 build 9402 and earlier (Windows, Linux)
Fixed in
- Adobe Campaign Classic ACC v7: 7.4.4 build 9403 (per Adobe bulletin APSB26-162; confirm the build number in the bulletin's solution table)
Workaround
Unknown. No vendor workaround was found; updating to 7.4.4 build 9403 is the only documented remedy.
Exploitation
- Adobe is not aware of any exploits in the wild for the issues in APSB26-162.
- No public proof-of-concept exploit code has been confirmed.
- Not listed in CISA KEV.
- CISA SSVC: exploitation none, not automatable, total technical impact.
Our recommendation
- Identify all Adobe Campaign Classic instances, including on-premise components of hybrid deployments.
- Update affected ACC v7 instances to 7.4.4 build 9403 as a priority.
- Restrict access to ACC servers and review low-privileged accounts, since exploitation requires one.
- Monitor the instance and its database for unusual SQL activity.
- Treat the instance as high value, because it holds customer data.
Public exploits
PoC-in-GitHub, Metasploit and Exploit-DB list nothing for this CVE.
