EnergizeLab Eilik/EilikO: Missing authentication for AI model administration

CVE-2026-105038Critical 9.8

← All vulnerabilities

Summary

The FastAPI AI inference and profiling services of the Eilik and EilikO companion robots expose AI model administration functions without authentication. An unauthenticated remote attacker can change the AI model configuration and switch the model in use at runtime. The CVSS score is 9.8 (critical), and the NVD entry is still deferred.

Affected

  • Eilik and EilikO AI inference and profiling services (EnergizeLab)
  • Affected versions: Unknown. Sources conflict; none gives a version number.

Fixed in

Unknown. No confirmed fixed version or vendor advisory found.

Workaround

  • Keep the devices off company networks and disconnect them from Wi-Fi until the vendor confirms fixes.
  • Reported by media: the vendor closed external access and rotated credentials. This could not be verified independently.

Exploitation

  • CISA SSVC: Exploitation none, Automatable yes, Technical Impact total.
  • Not listed in CISA KEV.
  • A public write-up by the researcher exists. A claim of a proof of concept is unconfirmed.
  • No evidence of in-the-wild exploitation found.

Our recommendation

  • Ask staff, pupils and childcare or school clients whether Eilik or EilikO devices are in use.
  • If they are, keep them off business networks until the vendor confirms a fix.
  • Monitor the vendor and NVD for an advisory with version information.
  • Relevance for typical SMEs is low unless such devices are in use.

Public exploits

PoC-in-GitHub, Metasploit and Exploit-DB list nothing for this CVE.
