Mitel MiVoice Office 400: Path traversal in admin log viewer

CVE-2026-104706High 8.4

← All vulnerabilities

Summary

Mitel MiVoice Office 400 version 11.0.96.0 contains a path traversal flaw in the web administration portal on port 8443, in the View Logs function under Administration. An attacker with administrator rights can view or download sensitive system files outside the log directory, which may expose credentials or configuration. The CVSS vector rates the attack as local with high privileges required, but the portal is normally reachable over the network, so exposure may be greater than the rating suggests.

Affected

  • Mitel MiVoice Office 400 version 11.0.96.0 (reported)
  • Other versions: Unknown.

Fixed in

Unknown. No vendor advisory or fixed version was found at the time of research.

Workaround

  • Restrict access to the admin portal on port 8443 to a management VLAN or VPN. Do not expose it to the internet.
  • Limit administrator accounts to named staff and review who holds admin rights.
  • Review portal access logs for unusual requests to the View Logs function.
  • A web application firewall may detect common traversal patterns as an interim measure. This is not a vendor fix.

Exploitation

  • CISA KEV: not listed.
  • Public proof-of-concept: Unknown.
  • Exploitation in the wild: none known from the sources checked.

Our recommendation

  • Check whether any Mitel MiVoice Office 400 systems run version 11.0.96.0 and whether the admin portal on port 8443 is reachable from the LAN or internet.
  • Restrict portal access to a management network or VPN and remove internet exposure.
  • Review admin accounts, enforce strong unique passwords and multi-factor authentication where supported.
  • Monitor portal logs for unusual View Logs requests.
  • Check Mitel security advisories and your partner channel regularly and apply the fix as soon as it is released.

Public exploits

PoC-in-GitHub, Metasploit and Exploit-DB list nothing for this CVE.
