YesWiki: Server-side request forgery in Bazar abonnements sync

CVE-2026-104464High 8.8

← All vulnerabilities

Summary

YesWiki before 4.6.7 contains a server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability in the Bazar abonnements sync action. An unauthenticated attacker can supply an arbitrary actor URL, causing the server to send GET requests to internal hosts or cloud metadata endpoints. Fetched responses can be stored as readable Bazar entries, which may expose internal data; the attack requires no privileges on wikis where the hosting page is public, the default setting.

Affected

  • YesWiki yeswiki, all versions before 4.6.7 (CNA range: 0 to below 4.6.7)
  • Some sources list a narrower range of 4.6.2 to 4.6.7; treat all versions below 4.6.7 as affected.

Fixed in

  • Upgrade to YesWiki 4.6.7 or later.

Workaround

  • No vendor workaround documented.
  • Check whether the Bazar abonnements sync feature is in use.
  • Restrict outbound HTTP requests from the web server, especially to link-local and cloud metadata addresses (own recommendation, not vendor-documented).

Exploitation

  • CISA SSVC in the CVE record: exploitation "poc", automatable "yes".
  • No KEV listing known.
  • No public exploit repository found during research; PoC status is as reported and not independently verified.

Our recommendation

  • Inventory all YesWiki instances and their versions; anything below 4.6.7 is affected.
  • Upgrade internet-facing instances to 4.6.7 or later with priority.
  • Check whether the Bazar abonnements sync feature is enabled and review web server logs for unusual outbound requests.
  • Restrict egress from the web server to metadata and internal address ranges as a temporary measure.
  • If YesWiki runs on cloud VMs, rotate credentials that could be exposed via the metadata service if exploitation is suspected.

Public exploits

PoC-in-GitHub, Metasploit and Exploit-DB list nothing for this CVE.

Original description (NVD)

YesWiki before 4.6.7 contains a server-side request forgery vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to make server-side GET requests by supplying an unvalidated actor URL to the Bazar abonnements sync action. Attackers can target internal hosts or cloud metadata endpoints and chain attacker-controlled outbox first/next links, with fetched responses stored as readable Bazar entries.
