Adobe Campaign Classic: OS command injection leading to arbitrary code execution
Summary
Adobe Campaign Classic (ACC) version 7 up to and including 7.4.4 build 9402 contains an OS command injection flaw (CWE-78) on Windows and Linux. An authenticated attacker with a low-privilege account can execute arbitrary code in the context of the current user over the network, without user interaction. The CVSS vector indicates a scope change, so the impact can extend beyond the vulnerable component.
Affected
- Adobe Campaign Classic ACC v7: 7.4.4 build 9402 and earlier
- Platforms: Windows, Linux
Fixed in
- Adobe Campaign Classic ACC v7: 7.4.4 build 9403
Workaround
Unknown.
Exploitation
- Adobe is not aware of any exploits in the wild for the issues in APSB26-162.
- No public proof-of-concept exploit code has been confirmed (one security news site).
- Not verified against CISA KEV; one third-party aggregator lists KEV as "No".
- EPSS: 1.3 % (percentile 70).
Our recommendation
- Identify all on-premise ACC v7 installations on Windows and Linux and record their build numbers.
- Update to 7.4.4 build 9403 as described in APSB26-162.
- Check whether any ACC instance is reachable from the internet and restrict access if so.
- Review low-privilege accounts on ACC and remove unneeded ones.
- If ACC is hosted by Adobe, confirm with Adobe whether action is required.
Public exploits
PoC-in-GitHub, Metasploit and Exploit-DB list nothing for this CVE.
