IBM Langflow OSS: Remote code execution via improper access control

CVE-2026-104335High 8.8Public exploit

← All vulnerabilities

Summary

IBM Langflow OSS versions 1.0.0 through 1.12.2 contain an improper access control flaw. A remote attacker with a valid user account can execute arbitrary code on the host running Langflow. No user interaction is required, and the attack can be carried out over the network with low complexity. A compromised host could expose stored API keys and cloud credentials.

Affected

  • IBM Langflow OSS 1.0.0 through 1.12.2

Fixed in

  • Upgrade to Langflow OSS 1.12.3 or later (IBM recommendation per the CVE record)

Workaround

Unknown. No vendor workaround is documented for this CVE.

Exploitation

  • CISA SSVC assessment: exploitation none, automatable no, technical impact total.
  • Not listed as known exploited (KEV) in the sources reviewed.
  • No public proof of concept found; this does not rule out that one exists.

Our recommendation

  • Upgrade Langflow OSS to 1.12.3 or later as soon as possible.
  • Remove direct internet exposure or restrict access to VPN or trusted IP ranges.
  • Review user accounts, disable open self-registration and enforce strong passwords.
  • Limit the secrets (API keys, cloud credentials) available to the Langflow process and rotate them if exposure is suspected.
  • Monitor logs for unusual flow creation and unexpected child processes of the Langflow service.

Public exploits

Original description (NVD)
