Walletdoc Payment Gateway for WooCommerce: Unauthenticated SQL injection and webhook forgery

CVE-2026-103307High 8.6

← All vulnerabilities

Summary

The WordPress plugin Walletdoc Payment Gateway for WooCommerce does not properly sanitize user input used in SQL statements. Its payment webhook is verified with a signing secret that is empty by default. Unauthenticated attackers can therefore inject SQL and mark arbitrary orders as paid, which can lead to order fraud and exposure of database content.

Affected

  • Walletdoc Payment Gateway for WooCommerce plugin (wc-walletdoc-payment-gateway) versions before 1.8.5
  • Vendor: Unknown

Fixed in

  • Version 1.8.5

Workaround

  • No vendor workaround documented.
  • If an update cannot be applied immediately, confirm the webhook signing secret is set to a non-empty value.
  • Restrict access to the webhook endpoint to the payment provider's source addresses where possible.

Exploitation

  • CISA SSVC: Automatable yes, technical impact partial, exploitation none.
  • No public proof of concept found.
  • No evidence of exploitation in the wild; not listed in CISA KEV.

Our recommendation

  • Inventory all WordPress sites using this plugin and identify the version.
  • Update to version 1.8.5 or later without delay.
  • Verify that the webhook signing secret is set.
  • Review orders marked as paid since the plugin was installed or last updated and compare them with the payment provider's records.
  • Monitor web server logs for suspicious requests to the webhook endpoint.

Public exploits

PoC-in-GitHub, Metasploit and Exploit-DB list nothing for this CVE.

Original description (NVD)

The Walletdoc Payment Gateway for WooCommerce WordPress plugin before 1.8.5 does not properly sanitize and escape user input before using it in a SQL statement, and verifies its payment webhook with a signing secret that is empty by default, allowing unauthenticated attackers to perform SQL injection attacks and to mark arbitrary orders as paid.
