Eummena Cadmos LTI: Information disclosure via debug mode

CVE-2026-102628Critical 9.2

← All vulnerabilities

Summary

Cadmos LTI, a Learning Tools Interoperability platform by Eummena hosted at cadmos.eummena.io, ran with Laravel debug mode enabled in a publicly accessible environment. An unauthenticated attacker can send a simple GET request that triggers an unhandled exception, which exposes the full server environment, including all .env configuration variables, in plaintext. These variables often contain database credentials and API keys that can enable further access to other systems.

Affected

  • Eummena Cadmos LTI before 2026-09-02 (hosted instance at cadmos.eummena.io)
  • Exact software versions: Unknown.

Fixed in

  • Unaffected from 2026-09-02, according to CISA (VA-26-275-05).
  • The vendor's own fix documentation: Unknown.

Workaround

  • Unknown for end users.
  • For self-hosted Laravel applications: set APP_DEBUG=false and APP_ENV=production outside local development.

Exploitation

  • Not known to be exploited in the wild; not listed in CISA KEV.
  • The discoverer published a write-up; no public proof of concept was found.
  • CISA SSVC: exploitation none, automatable yes, technical impact partial.

Our recommendation

  • Ask Eummena in writing to confirm the fix date and whether the debug mode was disabled on the hosted instance.
  • If an instance was reachable before 2026-09-02, rotate all secrets from the .env file (database credentials, API keys) and review logs.
  • Check APP_DEBUG and APP_ENV on all client-facing Laravel applications.

Public exploits

PoC-in-GitHub, Metasploit and Exploit-DB list nothing for this CVE.
