CVE-2026-102627High 8.8

← All vulnerabilities

Summary

IBM TRIRIGA Application Platform versions 5.0.0 through 5.0.8 do not properly validate file paths during archive extraction, a Zip Slip path traversal flaw (CWE-22). A remote attacker with a valid low-privilege account can exploit it to execute arbitrary code, according to IBM's CVSS 3.1 score of 8.8. IBM's advisory does not describe any workaround.

Affected

  • IBM TRIRIGA Application Platform 5.0.0 through 5.0.8
  • Platforms named by IBM: Linux, Windows, AIX

Fixed in

  • Upgrade to IBM TRIRIGA Application Platform 5.0.9 or a later supported release containing the fix
  • IBM recommends applying the latest available maintenance

Workaround

Unknown. IBM's advisory lists no workaround or mitigation.

Exploitation

  • CISA SSVC: exploitation none, automatable no, technical impact total.
  • No public proof of concept found.

Our recommendation

  • Check whether any TRIRIGA instance exists in your environment, including vendor-hosted or partner-managed systems.
  • Confirm the installed version. If it is 5.0.0 to 5.0.8, plan the upgrade to 5.0.9 or later.
  • Until patched, restrict who holds accounts and review which users can upload archives.
  • Monitor for unexpected file writes and code execution on TRIRIGA servers.

Public exploits

PoC-in-GitHub, Metasploit and Exploit-DB list nothing for this CVE.
