Oracle Agile Engineering Data Management: Improper access control
Summary
Oracle Agile Engineering Data Management (EDM) version 6.2.1 contains an improper access control flaw in the Engineering Communication Interface component. An attacker with a low-privileged account and network access to the HTTP interface may be able to create, modify or delete data, read critical data and partly disrupt the service, and other products may be affected (scope change). Exploitation is difficult (high attack complexity).
Affected
- Oracle Agile Engineering Data Management 6.2.1 (component: Engineering Communication Interface)
Fixed in
- Unknown. No patch for this CVE could be confirmed. Check the October 2026 Critical Patch Update advisory and the Oracle Supply Chain patch availability document for 6.2.1.
Workaround
- No vendor workaround known.
- Interim measure: restrict network access to the EDM HTTP interface to trusted administrative networks.
Exploitation
- No known exploitation in the wild and no public proof of concept at the time of research.
- EPSS score 0.003 (low).
- CISA SSVC: exploitation none, automatable no, technical impact total.
- CISA KEV catalogue not yet checked.
Our recommendation
- Confirm whether you run EDM 6.2.1.
- Obtain and apply the October 2026 patch for 6.2.1 from Oracle.
- Until patched, restrict HTTP access to trusted networks and review low-privileged accounts.
- Check whether the EDM instance is reachable from the internet or from partner portals.
- Monitor the CISA KEV catalogue and the NVD entry for updates.
Public exploits
PoC-in-GitHub, Metasploit and Exploit-DB list nothing for this CVE.

Original description (NVD)
Vulnerability in the Oracle Agile Engineering Data Management product of Oracle Supply Chain (component: Engineering Communication Interface). The supported version that is affected is 6.2.1. Difficult to exploit vulnerability allows low privileged attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Oracle Agile Engineering Data Management. While the vulnerability is in Oracle Agile Engineering Data Management, attacks may significantly impact additional products (scope change). Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized creation, deletion or modification access to critical data or all Oracle Agile Engineering Data Management accessible data as well as unauthorized access to critical data or complete access to all Oracle Agile Engineering Data Management accessible data and unauthorized ability to cause a partial denial of service (partial DOS) of Oracle Agile Engineering Data Management. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 8.4 (Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:L).
