Oracle E-Business Suite Integrated SOA Gateway: Improper access control

CVE-2026-101688High 8.6

← All vulnerabilities

Summary

Oracle E-Business Suite Integrated SOA Gateway (component SOA Provider) versions 12.2.3 to 12.2.15 contain a flaw in access control (CWE-284). An unauthenticated attacker with HTTP network access can exploit it with low complexity and no user interaction. Successful attacks can grant unauthorized access to critical data the gateway can reach, with a scope change that may also affect other products.

Affected

  • Oracle E-Business Suite Integrated SOA Gateway, SOA Provider component
  • Supported versions 12.2.3 to 12.2.15

Fixed in

  • Oracle Critical Patch Update of October 2026 (20 Oct 2026)
  • Specific patch number for this CVE: Unknown.
  • My Oracle Support Note KA923 is cited for the required patches; it has not been confirmed to cover this CVE.

Workaround

  • No vendor workaround known.
  • Interim measure if patching is delayed: restrict network access to SOA Gateway endpoints to known integration partners and log HTTP access to them.

Exploitation

  • No exploitation reported in the sources as of 1 Nov 2026.
  • No public proof of concept known.
  • Not listed in CISA KEV on 21 Oct 2026; current KEV status not rechecked.

Our recommendation

  • Apply the October 2026 Oracle CPU to the EBS application, Database and Fusion Middleware layers.
  • Apply the whole CPU, not only this CVE, as other unauthenticated EBS flaws in it score higher.
  • Check whether SOA Gateway endpoints are reachable from the internet and treat exposed instances as high priority.
  • Restrict access to known partners and monitor HTTP access logs to the endpoints.

Public exploits

PoC-in-GitHub, Metasploit and Exploit-DB list nothing for this CVE.
