CVE-2026-101542High 8.8

← All vulnerabilities

Summary

Oracle Capacity, a module of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), contains a vulnerability in the Internal Operations component. An attacker with network access via HTTP and a valid low-privileged account can compromise the module, with a possible takeover of Oracle Capacity. Oracle rates the issue CVSS 8.8 (High) and it is fixed in the October 2026 Critical Patch Update.

Affected

  • Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle Capacity module, versions 12.2.3 to 12.2.15

  • Attack requires a low-privileged account (PR:L)

Fixed in

  • Fixed in Oracle's October 2026 Critical Patch Update (released 20 October 2026)
  • Specific patch number for Oracle Capacity: Unknown. Check the Oracle risk matrix and EBS patch documentation (My Oracle Support KA923, KA1818)

Workaround

  • Unknown. No vendor workaround identified; patching is the documented fix.
  • Restrict HTTP access to EBS to required users only.

Exploitation

  • No confirmed exploitation in the wild known at time of research. CISA KEV status not verified.
  • No public proof of concept found.
  • EPSS score low (0.00352).

Our recommendation

  • Check whether any EBS environment runs the Capacity module in versions 12.2.3 to 12.2.15.
  • If affected, apply the October 2026 CPU using the Oracle advisory and KA923 guidance; prioritise network-reachable EBS systems.
  • Restrict HTTP access to EBS to required users and review low-privilege accounts.
  • Monitor for unusual activity in the Capacity module.
