Oracle EDI Gateway: Unauthorized data access and modification in E-Business Suite

CVE-2026-101534High 8.5

← All vulnerabilities

Summary

Oracle EDI Gateway, the EDI module of Oracle E-Business Suite versions 12.2.3 through 12.2.15, contains a vulnerability reachable over HTTP. An attacker with a low-privileged account and network access can read critical data without authorization and modify, insert or delete some data, and attacks may also affect other products (scope change). No exploitation or public proof of concept is known.

Affected

  • Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2.3 through 12.2.15, component EDI Gateway (EDI)

Fixed in

  • Fix included in the Oracle Critical Patch Update of October 2026 (published 20 October 2026).
  • Patch-level versions: Unknown.
  • A third-party note refers to My Oracle Support Note KA923; verify on My Oracle Support.

Workaround

  • Unknown. No workaround is documented.
  • Interim measure: restrict HTTP access to EBS and EDI Gateway endpoints to trusted networks.

Exploitation

  • No known exploitation, KEV listing or public proof of concept.
  • EPSS 0.0023 (low).
  • Do not confuse with CVE-2026-101767, a separate SQL injection in Application Object Library, which is being probed.

Our recommendation

  • Check whether EDI Gateway is installed and which 12.2.x level is running.
  • Apply the October 2026 CPU through the EBS patch process and verify the patch list on My Oracle Support.
  • Restrict HTTP access to EBS and audit low-privileged accounts.
  • Prioritise patching if EBS is internet-facing.

Public exploits

PoC-in-GitHub, Metasploit and Exploit-DB list nothing for this CVE.
