Oracle Autonomous Health Framework: Local privilege escalation in AHF Instant Diagnostic Replay

CVE-2026-101452High 7.8

← All vulnerabilities

Summary

A flaw in the AHF Instant Diagnostic Replay component of Oracle Autonomous Health Framework affects versions 26.3 to 26.8. An attacker with low privileges and a logon to a host running AHF can compromise the framework, with possible takeover of the product and high impact on confidentiality, integrity and availability. The attack requires local access and no user interaction. Oracle lists the issue in its October 2026 Critical Patch Update.

Affected

  • Oracle Autonomous Health Framework 26.3 to 26.8 (supported versions affected)

Fixed in

  • Fixed in Oracle's October 2026 Critical Patch Update (exact fixed AHF version: Unknown)

Workaround

  • No vendor workaround known.
  • Restrict who can log on to hosts running AHF.
  • Remove unneeded shell accounts.
  • Review who can run AHF tools on shared jump hosts.

Exploitation

  • No public proof of concept found.
  • Oracle does not publish exploit code.
  • Not listed in the CISA KEV catalog as of 21 October 2026 (per Brandefense).
  • No public reports of exploitation known as of publication (per Waratek).

Our recommendation

  • Apply the October 2026 Oracle Critical Patch Update to AHF hosts; confirm the fixed AHF version in Oracle's advisory first.
  • Limit local logon and shell access on hosts running AHF, especially shared admin and jump hosts.
  • Patch CVE-2026-75803 (AHFCOMMON, OpenSSL, network-exploitable) in the same window.
  • Re-check exploitation status and NVD status before final prioritisation.

Public exploits

PoC-in-GitHub, Metasploit and Exploit-DB list nothing for this CVE.
