Adobe Bridge: Arbitrary code execution via out-of-bounds write

CVE-2026-100127High 7.8

← All vulnerabilities

Summary

Adobe Bridge 16.0.7 and earlier and Bridge (LTS) 15.1.8 and earlier contain an out-of-bounds write vulnerability (CWE-787). An attacker can exploit it to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current user if a victim opens a malicious file. Exploitation requires local access and user interaction, so the risk is file-based, for example through email attachments or downloads.

Affected

  • Adobe Bridge 16.0.7 and earlier (Windows and macOS)
  • Adobe Bridge (LTS) 15.1.8 and earlier (Windows and macOS)

Fixed in

  • Adobe Bridge 16.0.8
  • Adobe Bridge (LTS) 15.1.9

Workaround

  • No workaround is documented in the vendor advisory.
  • Until patched, avoid opening untrusted files in Bridge.

Exploitation

  • Adobe is not aware of any exploits in the wild.
  • CISA SSVC: exploitation none, automatable no, technical impact total.
  • Not listed in CISA KEV according to a third-party tracker.
  • No public proof of concept found; this does not rule out that one exists.

Our recommendation

  • Inventory all Adobe Bridge installations (15.x and 16.x) on endpoints.
  • Update to Bridge 16.0.8 or 15.1.9 via the Creative Cloud desktop app or the Admin Console.
  • Until patched, do not open untrusted files in Bridge, especially files from external parties.
  • Include Bridge in the regular patch cycle, as it has had frequent advisories in 2026.

Public exploits

PoC-in-GitHub, Metasploit and Exploit-DB list nothing for this CVE.
