Our recommendation

  • Check the Chrome version on all managed endpoints and confirm it is 156.0.8078.79 or later.
  • Restart Chrome after the update, because the update is applied on relaunch.
  • Confirm that other Chromium-based browsers in use (e.g. Edge, Brave) have shipped their own fixes.
  • Monitor for updates and for reports of exploitation.

Public exploits

PoC-in-GitHub, Metasploit and Exploit-DB list nothing for this CVE.
