Affected

  • Google Chrome desktop for macOS prior to 156.0.8078.47 (per CVE record)
  • Microsoft Edge on macOS, because it is Chromium-based, until it includes the Chromium fix (not confirmed by vendor advisory)

Fixed in

  • Google Chrome 156.0.8078.47 (per CVE record)
  • Latest stable Chrome release (recommended, as newer builds exist)

Workaround

Our recommendation

  • Update Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge on all Macs to the latest stable release.

  • Monitor vendor advisories for further Chrome updates.
