CVE-2026-113254High 8.8

← All vulnerabilities

Summary

Memory corruption in the DevTools component of Google Chrome before 156.0.8078.47 can be exploited by a remote attacker. A crafted HTML page can potentially execute arbitrary code inside the browser sandbox. The attack requires the user to visit the malicious page, and no exploitation has been reported.

Affected

  • Google Chrome desktop before 156.0.8078.47

Fixed in

  • Google Chrome 156.0.8078.47 or later. Newer Chrome 156 builds are also available.

Workaround

Unknown. Keep Chrome auto-update enabled and not blocked by policy.

Exploitation

  • No evidence of exploitation in the wild was found. The CISA KEV status shown by one aggregator is 'No', which was not checked directly.
  • No public proof of concept was found. Chromium rates the severity as Low.

Our recommendation

  • Confirm that all Chrome, Edge and other Chromium-based browsers run at least 156.0.8078.47, preferably the latest 156 build.
  • Check that auto-updates work and are not blocked by policy.
  • Monitor the CISA KEV catalog and the Chromium bug page for changes.

Public exploits

PoC-in-GitHub, Metasploit and Exploit-DB list nothing for this CVE.
